EKAYA's First Indo-French Collaboration Is nothing Short of Perfection
Demonstrating how Indian fabrics can be a part of the French couture and wedding industry, 15 couture designers, as members of Fédération Française de la Creation Couture Sur Mesure, showcase how effortlessly and gracefully Indian fabrics can fit the global market.
EKAYA founders, Mr. Bharat Shah and his daughter Palak Shah (CEO), are proud to bring designers (members of Fédération Française de la Creation Couture Sur Mesure) such as Mr. Daniel Charles Simon Martin, Ms. Ali Thompson, Ms. Sylvie Kameni, Ms. Guenaelle Debarnot, and Ms. Isabelle Beaumenay Joannet for showcasing their global collaboration to India.
The brand has created a special capsule collection comprising of luxurious ivory-coloured fabrics for ‘Cousu d’or’. Since the theme was bespoke French wedding wear, EKAYA put together an array of unique fabrics both from EKAYA archives and newly designed collection themes consisting of a rich selection of our signature brocades along with, silks, cotton, georgettes, chiffons, tusser, organza, mashru silks, and intricate needlework. The fabrics have been woven using very intricate weaving techniques.
The members of the Federation have designed a collection of gowns related to high-end French fashion, using some of these luxurious fabrics, overtaking the Indian dress codes, and opening up some opportunities for these fabrics on the European market. The event aims to become a platform to promote the luxurious textiles of the EKAYA Company in France.
