Beauty news flash! Colour is cool again.

The no-makeup makeup look has been having a moment for a while now, and though we live for natural, glowing skin, we’re also ready for a punch of color to punctuate our makeup looks this summer. This season, the beauty world brings us refreshing hues of brilliant blue eyeliner, playful teal eyeshadow, and even bright pops of yellow and orange. Although when it comes to beauty, rules hardly apply however it's nice to have some guidance from our favourite celebrities. Check out our pick of the best bright eyeshadow trends and easy ways to recreate it.

Red Smokey Eye

Picking the right shade of red according to your skin is paramount while recreating this look. Opt for a rust-y tone rather than a bright red if you want a more understated look. Blend the shadow well to ensure that you don't end up with a patchy colour output.

Reverse Blue Liner

A reverse liner is essentially a winged liner on your lower lash. If you're wearing an ethnic outfit, use a deep midnight blue kohl pencil to create a sharp wing. You could also smudge the edges for a more diffused line.

Silver Eyeshadow

This one is ideal for those who are heading out for the night and aren't so keen on playing with colours that are too bright. Swipe on a layer of your favourite silver eyeshadow with a fluffy brush and blend the edges. Finish off with a coat or two of mascara.

 Yellow & Red Ombré

Yellow eyeshadow has been a huge trend on the Runway this season. Although yellow eyeshadow may be a bit intimidating at first, the colour is universally flattering on all skin tones. Easy into the shadow and build on the opacity as you go. You could also add a hint of red to the hollow of your eyes to add definition.

Bright Teal Eyeshadow

If you're looking for an eyeshadow that transitions from day to night with ease, teal could be your first choice. Dress down with a light wash on your lids and mascara for a day mehendi and dress it up with a deeper colour and sharp wing liner for a cocktail party a night.
