No wedding is complete without the couple's dance and this celebration was no different - complete with stage jitters. Anam says,"The super-fun moment from the wedding was our performance to our favourite song because we were so scared that we would forget the steps. But, when we went on stage we actually did not even think about it."

Asad agrees, "My favourite moment from the wedding was when I said ‘Qubool Hai’ and when I was waiting for her on the stage. When she came, I held out my hand to help her up and when she stood next to me I felt that a husband and a wife were standing next to each other. Her being by my side is my biggest strength because I feel like I can do anything and achieve everything."

The beautiful nikah ceremony had a profound impact on the bride and the groom as emotions ran high. Änam explains, "The most emotional moment for me was when I was meeting Asad after our nikah. Usually the nikah happens separately for the boy and the girl. Then, the bride goes to the groom."

"I was most looking forward to my outfit for the reception. I had a vision for that outfit and Manish (Malhotra) made it come true. I also wore a Monisha Jaising red gown that was also very beautiful but I did step into a shorter, more comfortable dress because I wanted to dance around."

"One of the special moments from the wedding was when I wore the Hyderabadi Khara dupatta which came from my in-laws’ side. That was memorable and very traditional because I wore a nath and everything."

"I’m quite a planner – I need everything to be sorted and under control so everything was done by our in-house team. I did not really have vision or so to say but, I was very particular about my clothes, for sure. It was almost like I decided my outfits first and then the functions depending on those," says Anam.

"I visited her house once and she had Neeti Mohan over, who was singing and encouraged me to sing too. I confidently started singing ‘Pal, Pal, Dil Ke Paas’ for Anam. She was sitting right across and I even texted her that the song is for her. I thought I was so smart because no one would suspect who I was singing it for. I got to know later that everyone knew and that was a little embarrassing for me. But, it’s funny too."

Meanwhile, the groom has a amusing tale to tell too. "My first impression of Anam was that she is a very confident girl and I also say that because she runs such a successful business with such ease. But there’s also a funny story from when we started initially dating," he says.

Every great love story begins with a meet-cute and Anam shares hers, "Asad and I have known each other for a really long time. Our families have been friends for years but we connected about a year and a half ago when I wished him on his birthday and we started talking."
