While we do love our fair share elaborate facial appointments or weekend face masking, we are all ears for instant glow up tips.

After all, time and that last-minute invitation to the hottest shindig does not wait for none. So, Brides Today spoke to top skin experts for tricks to dramatically transform your skin when you are racing against time.

Quench your skin

Dry, dehydrated skin can make you end up looking tired. The key? Moisturise. This trick holds true for oily and combination skin too – everyone benefits from a quick boost of hydration.

“Washing your face with a gentle cleanser and moisturizing goes a long way when getting ready in a hurry. You must also hydrate by drinking water to instantly prep up,” says Dr Simal Soin, dermatologist and founder, Aayna Clinic.

Werk the fingertips

The pro-move to apply a moisturizer is by massaging the product in to improve the blood circulation in your face. Not only does it help the product absorb better on your skin, it stimulates your skin too. Aaand totes feels good too!

“Massage your skincare product in an upward motion using your fingertips gently, this helps you relax and makes the skin look refreshed,” says Dr Geetika Mittal Gupta, dermatologist and founder, Isaac Luxe.

 Get your guasha on!

Make the facial massage more fruitful by including the two beauty tools that have everyone raving.

“Consider adding a guasha or a jade roller massage to your skincare routine. It relaxes tense facial muscles. Taking a few minutes out to even use a jade roller (properly) helps lymphatic drainage and boost blood circulation,” says Dr Kiran Lohia, dermatologist and director, Isya Aesthetics.

Ice, ice, baby

Another expert-approved tip to rejuvenate your skin at once is rather simple and has a found a fan in Katrina Kaif too.  “Something as simple as icing your face before applying your makeup to reduce the appearance of pores goes a long way when you are in a hurry. I would also suggest drinking a shot of aloe vera and amla juice or apple cider vinegar to boost your skin health,” says Dr Geetika Mittal Gupta.

Cardinal rules to remember

It is always best to maintain your skin health especially if you are often on the go. From applying sunscreen to always removing makeup before going to bed can help a lot in the long run.

“It is a great idea to include cleansing oils or cleansing milks instead of foam-based cleansers to your daily routine. Adding a vitamin C cream or serum to your skincare as well as a Guasha massage are also a good move to maintain your skin health,” says Dr Kiran Kaur Sethi.
