The perfect designs to elevate your look.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his lavish sets, intricate costumes, and accurate portrayal of historical eras. His latest creation, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, which delves into the lives of courtesans during British rule in India, is no different. But what truly stole the spotlight this time was the exquisite jewellery featured in the production. Actors Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sonakshi Sinha dazzled in ornaments ranging from earrings and headpieces to nose rings and necklaces, adorned with rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and diamond polki, totaling over 10,000 pieces weighing more than 300 kilograms.

All this jewellery was meticulously crafted by Delhi-based Vinay Gupta, founder of Shri Paramani Jewels. Gupta shared that it took him over three years to create the pieces, each reflecting the cultural heritage of the era. "If you observe closely, the jewellery speaks volumes about each character's personality. They were all made using 22-24 carat gold and set in a kundan style," Gupta explained.

The handcrafted jewellery transported the audience back to the 1920s when ornaments held deep significance for women and were more than mere adornments. From Manisha Koirala's intricate haath phool in rubies and pukhraj to Richa Chadha’s mang tikka in diamond, polki, and pearls, each piece of jewellery exuded luxury and showcased exceptional craftsmanship.

It's hard to pick the standout pieces, but here are our top three picks of jewellery pieces from Heeramandi
