A refreshing drink that could result in a trimmer waistline

As the temperature soars, all you would want to do is gulp down coolers or chilled beverages that help you cool down and feel good. But if you could drink a beverage that led to a trimmer waistline, wouldn't you want to get your hands on it? Ryan Fernando, celebrity nutritionist and founder of QUA Nutrition, shares the recipe of a mint-green tea cooler that will shrink fat cells sooner and can be made in a jiffy at home. If you are wondering how this drink would be beneficial for weight loss, then here's the science.

Research hase proven that active ingredient in green tea, catechin, can boost metabolism. Catechins can improve fat oxidation and boost thermogenesis, the process that your body uses to turn food into energy. Of the four main types of catechins found in tea leaves, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the main antioxidant responsible for increasing levels of hormones that cause fat cells to break down fat. EGCG also protects brain cells from oxidative stress. Studies also show that the fat-burning effects of green tea are more pronounced when exercising. What's more, several studies have shown that green tea can reduce visceral or belly fat by 58 percent. So when this is combined with mint, a herb that's known to stimulate the digestive enzymes that absorb nutrients from food and consume fat and turn it into usable energy, you have a potent drink. "An average age of fat cells in the body is 8.4 year, this mint green tea cooler will shrink your fat cells sooner," says Ryan. Read up and fix yourself this healthy drink now!
