Level up your style with these trending hairstyles

If you have been looking for a hair makeover, this is the time. Festivities have begun and people would see you a lot more now than before, be it in online or offline parties or gatherings. So to help you make up your mind we have rounded up some celebrity hairstyles that you can take inspiration from.

1. Beachy waves

There's beauty in the versatility of tousled, undone, messy waves; they're the perfect hybrid between effortless and cool, which is why you see them everywhere. From the red carpet to real life, beachy waves are always appropriate. "No matter your length or texture, bangs or not, the soft, textured waves just work. The best part: You can literally wear waves for days on end, and they start to look even better once they're worn in. It's a style that lasts—so if you're feeling lazy (which we really all are right now), waves are your friends," says  Abhinav Tibdewal founder of Hair Saint India.

2. Layers

Care-free waves have always been a cool-girl staple, but with more women ditching heat styling, Abhinav says to expect an uptick in air-dried waves this year. Effortless hair starts with a great cut, and it's crucial your stylist lays the foundation for hair that doesn't need much styling. “When you’re on the chair, you want to make sure that the layers are even and heavier from the ear forward,” says Abhinav. You might also want to ask that your stylist ‘cuts into’ the layers. When you take perpendicular cuts into the layer, you are giving your hair somewhere to sit, which when you are air drying is key. If you have blunt layers, your hair will dry on itself and look bulky.

3. Modern Diana

If the latest season of The Crown has you thinking about a Diana-inspired chop, you're not alone. Abhinav, Founder of Hair Saint India, says he's been giving his clients a modern take on the princess's iconic haircut. “It's such a fresh look for 2021 and exudes confidence and style for the new year,” he says. The cut itself is a mixture of a very short layered bob edging towards a pixie.

4. Strong Bob

The strong bob—also known as a blunt bob—is a fashion statement. “Cool is more important than sexy right now. Or rather, cool is the new sexy.”, says Abhinav. The strong bob works for any hair texture, but if yours is dense, ask your stylist to thin it out first.

5. Sleek bun

This is the best hairstyle if you want to keep hair away from your face and neck. The no-nonsense hairstyle looks chic and is also apt for formal occasions. Use styling gel and hair spray to smoothen any flyaways and tie your hair into a neat pony. Then twist the pony into a bun and safely secure it with pins.

6. Braids

Braids work in every season and are easy to do, they require least efforts and can be especially handy when you are doing through a bad hair day.
