An expert tells you which hairstyles work on greasy hair

We all have to go through those days when our hair doesn’t behave or when we feel too lazy to wash it. And then the last minute parties come up and you are left wondering what to do. To help you look your best on those days, we asked Apurva Chaudhari, Schwarzkopf Professional hair expert, to tell us which hairstyles work on bad hair days. Read on to find out more.

Sleek straight ponytail

Sprinkle Osis+ Dust it on the crown area, on the roots and rub the product in. Comb the hair flat and gather then towards the nape area. Secure with an elastic or a scrunchie of your choice.

Alice Bands/Hairband

Brush your hair down to remove any tangles. Split the hair into three sections, starting from one ear end and start braiding. Keep gathering sections from the hairline as you go. Repeat the process until you reach the other ear end. Use an elastic to secure your braid and tuck the remaining loose ends behind the ear using a bobby pin.

Pulled out Dutch braid

Make a first small ponytail. Make a small ponytail under the first ponytail. Divide the first ponytail in half and clip up the second ponytail above it. Make a third ponytail by adding the two halves of the first ponytail. Unclip your second ponytail and divined it into half and clip up the third ponytail. Create a fourth ponytail by adding the other two halves of the second ponytail and secure with an elastic. Continue the process until you are satisfied with the length. Pull out some sections of the ponytail to add volume.

Messy buns

One can never go wrong with a messy bun, given any type of hair. Generously dust your hair using Osis+ Dust it, to add texture and volume to greasy hair. Gather all your hair in a high ponytail and secure using an elastic. Divide your hair into 2 sections and twist them. From each section, pull out some hair to add volume and wrap it around the base of the ponytail. Repeat the same with the other section. You can also tie a hair scarf to add a little glamour to the bun.

The Knot

This one comes with a little twist to the classic half knot. Dust your hair with Osis+ Dust it and rub it in to add volume to the roots. Gather hair from the crown area and tie a loose knot. Secure it using a bobby pin and spray Session Label Flex to remove flyways and keep the knot intact.
