Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar to Tie the Knot This Year?

For those of you reeling from the after-effects of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's mesmerising nuptials in Rajasthan last month, hang in there—another celebrity wedding is on its way! 2021 witnessed a slew of Bollywood weddings, from Patralekhaa-Rajkummar to Varun-Natasha and Yami-Aditya, and 2022 seems to be kicking off on a similar note. 

While we're eagerly awaiting Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's dreamlike affair sometime this year, reports suggest that another celebrity couple has joined the 'soon-to-be-hitched club'. Instagram-official Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar, who began dating in 2018 after meeting on the sets of the show I Can Do That, are reportedly all set to say "I do" in a few months. 

A source within the industry revealed, "Farhan and Shibani were planning a lavish wedding in Mumbai in March 2022. However, they will keep it low-key as the Covid-19 cases have been rising once again, and there are many Bollywood celebrities, too, who have tested positive. So, the couple has decided to get married amongst friends and family. Farhan and Shibani are living together, and they don't want to delay their wedding amid the pandemic."

Speculations suggest that the duo has narrowed down on a 5-star property as their wedding venue and have finalised all major aspects of the affair. Following the footsteps of erstwhile celebrity couples, Farhan and Shibani seem to have also opted for Sabyasachi ensembles for their big day.

Dating rumours began doing the rounds back in 2018 when Shibani posted a picture of herself holding someone's hand—who looked eerily similar to Farhan—while walking down the street. A while later, he posted the same photograph, confirming the buzz. Ever since then, the two have been PDA-ing all over social media, and we're all for it. The stylish couple also walked hand-in-hand for designer Payal Singhal at the Lakmé Fashion Week 2019! 

Most recently, the pair was spotted spending Christmas with Shibani's sister, Anusha, at her Mumbai residence, along with a few friends. Previously, when asked about her wedding plans, Shibani had said, "We already do so much together. We work out together, we watch content together, we play with our dogs together, and then, he would go off and work and I would go off and work. So we have a great balance that way. And we have a lot of interests that are similar. We both like our time apart as well. We had a great setup going on, actually."
