Elevate your celebrations with unique personal touches, experts suggest

Think initial-engraved stirrers, a pretzel wall and all things adorable!

'When you pay attention to the details, the big picture takes care of itself', the adage goes. And there’s no escaping the fact that to leave a lasting impression—and stand out from the crowd—the modern couple must go the extra mile. “Décor is, undoubtedly, one of the most important aspects of planning a wedding, compelling couples to add a unique, personal touch to their space,” says Saanya Sharma, co-founder, Three Entertainment.

“From signature cocktails to personalised, initial-engraved stirrers, and customised baggage tags, even the smallest addition can make a big difference,” add Sanjana Shah and Aashna Lalwani, co-founders, Three Entertainment. “Think quirky signages that tell your tale of sweet love, thoughtful giveaways such as embroidered potli bags stacked on a makeshift cart, and after-party comfort food to satiate your guests’ midnight hunger pangs.”

Bhavnesh Sawhney, co-founder and director, FB Celebrations, explains, “The more you customise your décor, the more momentous your nuptials will be—as it will evolve into an extension of the two of you.”

Recommending ways to do so, Sawhney adds, “Embroider your initials or your wedding date on serviettes, ‘raise the bar’ with cocktails named after nostalgic moments and relationship milestones, or station a vintage tandem bike at the venue entrance for a fabulous photo op. You can also have your guests jot down their song requests on a ‘DJ’s Playlist Wall’.”

To enhance the ambience of the venue, striking, standout elements should be in accordance with the event theme and colour palette. “Picking a specific colour palette, and narrowing down on a theme, will help cohesively uplift your space,” explain the co-founders of Three Entertainment. “Bear in mind, in today’s day, less is more. Incorporate elements that make an impact, all while resonating with you and your partner,” adds Sawhney.
