Go the unconventional way with these bridal entry ideas

Make them stop and stare.

Off-late, we’ve seen a bunch of wedding trends take centre stage—from sparklers during the vermala and themed décor for each function, to the perfectly curated bridal entry song—we’ve seen it all. While you can definitely cop these for your dream wedding—we had something else in mind. Instead of the run-of-the-mill, conventional bridal entries, we’d recommend try something new, different and exciting. We’ve collated a list of ideas that make for a stellar bridal entry—one that will be unforgettable.

On a speed-boat

If you and your partner have chosen to have a destination wedding by the lake or beach, there couldn’t be a better way to make a head-turning entry before you tie the knot. You can choose a few songs you want to be playing as you sit in the speedboat and arrive at the wedding mandap. This would be a fun, exciting, and totally memorable way to make you entrance.

Choreographed dance

Think Katrina Kaif in the song Sooraj ki baahon mein. If you’re a lover of dance and everything Bollywood, then make your way through the aisle by grooving to some choreographed dance steps. It might be a good way to avoid the emotional bits of walking towards your fiancé just before you get married (in case you want to). You can choose to do this alone or with your gang of bridesmaids who would be more than thrilled to join you on the aisle and dance their way towards the wedding mandap.

With your furry friend

Walking down the aisle with your furry friend? Yes please. There’s couldn’t possibly be a more adorable way to make your bridal entrance than with your pet, who has seen you through it all. Let your pet lead the way, wearing a cute collar and safa (turban). The entrance will leave the onlookers, and the groom smiling and teary-eyed.

On a doli

We know this may not be as unconventional as it sounds, but there are so many creative ways in which a doli can be made and can be a perfect reflection of your personality. The doli can be themed by colours, your favourite flower, destination, movie or anything else. Imagine being carried on the symbol, most representative of your personality just as you are about to marry the person you love the most.

The friendship tunnel

If you and your beau have a doting group of best friends, who would go the extra mile to make your wedding special as ever, then this is the perfect idea for a bridal entry. Make your friends stand opposite each other in a row along the aisle and form a canopy with their arms, as the bride walks through the tunnel towards the groom. If you want to get more creative, you can also get your friends to hold electric sparklers as you walk down the aisle for a magical entrance.

A horse carriage

Why should boys have all the fun? The idea of the groom arriving on a horse is too done. It’s time for the bride to make a royal entry.
