Here is his pick of Ayurvedic concoctions to brew up: 

Ginger Tea

Ingredients

·         1 tsp. sweetener

·         2 inches ginger

·         4-5 cups water

Method

·         Heat the water

·         Grate the ginger and add it to the boiling water

·         Then, let the water simmer for fifteen minutes

·         Now, strain the tea, drink and enjoy

Usage

Ginger tea helps alleviate immunity, prevents cough and cold and provides relief from digestive problems. Ginger also helps improve blood circulation.

Aromatic Herbal Tea 

Ingredients

·         1 cup water

·         1 cardamom (badi elaichi)

·         1 stick liquorice (mulethi)

·         1/3 tsp. mint (pudina) leaves

Method

·         Take one cup of water and heat it in a pan.

·         Once the water starts to boil, add 1 brown cardamom (badi elaichi), crushed 1 stick of liquorice (mulethi) root and 1/3 tsp of mint (pudina) leaves.

·         Boil it for 2 to 3 minutes.

·         Strain the herbs.

·         Once the tea cools down a little, add a tsp. of honey in it.

Usage

The spices and herbs used in making this tea are a rich source of vitamins and antioxidants and helps to fight infections, build strong immunity and even reduce stress level.

Herbal Tea for sore throat

Ingredients

·         Water

·         1 stick liquorice

·         1 cinnamon stick

·         1/3 tsp. Tulsi leaves

Method

·         Heat one cup of water in a pan.

·         Bring the water to boil and add 1 stick of liquorice root, 1 Cinnamon stick and 1/3 tsp. of tulsi leaves.

·         Boil it for 2 to 3 minutes.

·         Strain the herbs.

·         Once the tea cools down a little, add a tsp. of honey in it.

Usage

Try this tea during the evening to warm up the body and soul and to get your prana (vital energy) flowing. It also helps ease the symptoms of congestion, mucus, infection, or flu-like symptoms. Liquorice root is great for sore throat and cold.

Lemon Tea

Ingredients

·         Water

·         ½ tsp. tea powder

·         2 tsp. lemon juice

·         1 tbsp. honey

Method

·         In a saucepan, heat water on high flame.

·         Once the water comes to boil.

·         Add lemon juice to it.

·         Add honey for taste.

·         Strain the tea and enjoy.

Usage

For stuffy nose or sinus problem, you can take any herbal tea like chamomile, green tea or lemon tea. You can easily prepare lemon tea and add honey for taste. This will also help you from congestion.

Digestive Tea

Ingredients

·         Water

·         1/3 tsp Whole Fennel seeds

·         1/3 tsp Whole Coriander seeds

·         1/3 tsp Whole Cumin seed

·         Method

·         Boil water and add the spices.

·         Let it boil for five minutes.

·         Strain the tea and drink.

Usage

It provides relief after a heavy meal and prevents bloating. Digestive tea also helps in heartburn and even soothes constipation
