How did the two of you meet?
"I was all of 17 years old and he was 22. To be honest, it is truly the love of a lifetime! We met through family connections, fast became best friends, and gradually fell for each other over time. We spent a year going on dates and as time flew by, our friendship evolved into something a lot more special. Finally, a whirlwind of long-distance romance for 3 years, separated by 1459 kilometers was bridged together with our eternal bond of everlasting love."

2 of 24Was there a formal proposal?
"Aayush decided to fly down to Paris to propose, as I was attending a summer course out there. However, due to some complications he couldn't secure a visa. Finding out about the surprise from my friends gave me a one up; I decided to propose to him instead! I video-called him from in front of the Eiffel Tower, as he was sitting miles away in West Bengal."

Any anecdotes or memorable moments from the wedding?
"The most memorable moment for me was my baaraat. I had just gotten ready for the pheras, when my friends and cousins decided to take a baaraat from the room to the hotel reception, all out of the blue. We danced our way through the hotel lobby for the nuptials."

4 of 24Any advice for couples who are soon to be married?
"Avoid getting stressed because in the end, everything falls right into place. Besides, don’t feel the need to follow mainstream trends, but go with what your heart truly desires. Right from the beginning I knew that I didn’t want the cliché red wedding ensemble. Instead, I opted for an off-white lehenga and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The whole experience of being able to do it 'my way' has been absolutely amazing!"

5 of 24How are you both spending time during the pandemic?
"We just came back from the Maldives. We’re now back at our hometown and are spending time with our loved ones throwing backyard picnics, hosting movie nights at home etc."
