Brides Today: What does ‘beauty’ mean to you?

Jacqueline Fernandez: “None of the stereotypical notions of beauty defines the term for me. Real beauty shines the light on the best version of you...and helps you be who you really want to be. I consistently strive to break away from conventional standards to achieve all that I want...and be who I want to be.”

BT: How important is inner well-being for you?

JF: “Very! No amount of treatments or products can rescue you when you are not feeling good from within. Inner peace automatically translates to outer radiance, and who doesn’t love that?”

BT: Do you practice any self-care rituals?

JF: “It depends on my mood. Some days, I put on a face mask to unwind and blast some feel-good tunes; on others, experimenting with make-up cheers me up.”

BT: What is the inspiration behind your make-up collection for Colorbar?

JF: “I have been fascinated with make-up from a young age. As I grew older, this fascination transformed into an obsession, and I was always on the lookout for products that were delivered. Being a part of the Colorbar family, I wanted to create a collection inspired by all of my wonderful experiences. So Samir Modi [Founder of Colorbar], the brand’s team, and I travelled around the world to curate this incredible range that reflects all that I stand for...it is extremely close to my heart. What’s even more special is that this collection represents my love for animals, and just like everything by Colorbar, this range, too, is paraben and cruelty-free.”

BT: How long did it take to create the range?

JF: “A lot of hard work went into curating it, and the planning and execution took us about two years.”

BT: Do you enjoy experimenting with make-up?

JF: “I enjoy shaking things up every once in a while. And for that, I turn to bold, bright make-up colours to help me stand out.”

BT: And what is your signature make-up look?

JF: “A dramatic eye flick paired with a bright red lipstick and voluminous lashes for a hint of drama.”

BT: And what is your go-to make-up look for a wedding?

JF: “I love a minimalistic make-up look using shades of pinks, peaches, browns, and golds. Even though it is soft and muted, it makes the skin appear glowy.”

BT: Most women have a clear idea of the kind of wedding they want. Have you thought about it?

JF: “Not really. I will think about it when I actually see it happening.”

BT: What qualities do you find attractive in a man?

JF: “A man’s ability to be empathetic and kind matters a lot to me.”

BT: Tell us about the beauty products you are currently obsessed with.

JF: “I am addicted to Colorbar’s Sinful Lipsticks from my collection—they feel so luxurious. Also, the Glow With Love Highlighter is my go-to product for a sheer sheen. BT: Do you have any favourite beauty tools?

JF: “There are so many new tools out there, but my favourite has to be the jade roller—it is so relaxing and soothing, and helps depuff my face instantly.”

BT: What is the one thing you are looking forward to soon?

JF: “I am super excited to travel again. I miss lounging on the beach...”
