6 Must-Have Beauty Products For The Busy Bride

Travel bag essentials, you must keep these handy when you're on the go!

Rushing for time because you need to go on a full-day bridal shopping spree? We totally understand what you are going through. However, while running those errands, you do need to also make sure that you maintain some beauty hygiene. We know that you don't have the adequate time to do a whole beauty routine, but you certainly can keep a few products handy! Dr Simal Soin, Aayna Clinic, Dr Jaishree Sharad, Celebrity Cosmetic Dermatologist, Dr Pooja Chhabra, Co-founder Nuskay, Dr Kiran Sethi, Isya Aesthetics and Dr Rinky Kapoor, Cosmetic Dermatologist, reveal some of the 'on-the-go beauty products' that they swear by.

SAY HELLO TO SUNSHINE

One of the essentials, sunscreen is possibly the most important product to keep in your travel bag. 'A broad spectrum SPF goes a long way in protecting your skin from all the environmental stressors', says Dr Pooja Chhabra. Sunblock is a necessary bag accessory that you mustn't skip on, irrespective of varied climates or weather. Dr Simal Soin posits that sunscreen forms a protective layer over our sensitive skin and avoids the possibility of getting a sun burn. Sun damage can cause pigmentation, discolouration, dark spots, sagging and leathery skin and even wrinkles! These aren't the kind of problems you want to be dealing with before your big day, do you? For those of you who are worried about spillage, Dr Rinky Kapoor recommends sunscreen sticks, which are easy to carry and apply. One must apply it regularly, every four hours, and especially when you are on flight since you are thousands of feet closer to the sun.

REMOVE THAT MAKEUP

Don't have time to find a restroom to get rid of that makeup that has been sitting on your face all day? Well, this is why you must guard that makeup remover with your life. Light and easy to carry, Dr Rinky advocates the use of makeup removal wipes that can be your lifesaver on many occasions. Besides fulfilling the purpose of removing your makeup, you could also use a biodegradable face wipe as a quick face freshener. As suggested by Dr Kiran Sethi, this wipe can be used incase you feel grimy and dirty.

HYDRATE & FRESHEN UP!

Soak a cotton ball in micellar water and use it to wipe your face after a day of travelling to get rid of impurities, makeup, dirt or excess oil from the skin. Choose your micellar water wisely, one which is suitable for your skin. It is a God-sent when you want to cleanse and refresh your skin on the go. A facial mist may also do the work! And thermal spring water will be handy if you sweat a lot, to keep the face clean and maintain hydration, says Dr Jaishree Sharad. Since hydration is key, make sure you carry a hydrating face serum or a face oil, depending on your skin type. Your skin reacts the most when it lacks moisture and is also prone to inflammation and breakouts due to dehydration. So beware!

LUXE LIPS

Don't forget the lips! It is very important to keep your lips hydrated and moisturised at all times too. Thereby, a lip balm in your purse is a must. Since the skin on your lips is thinner than that on your face, it is more prone to becoming chapped and dry. Applying a lip balm avoids this and keeps your lips moist. 'I always keep vaseline jelly with me on the go, because it is great to use when my skin or lips are dry, and even when my eyelids get dry or irritated from the pollen in the air. Moreover, it's also a great SOS for zits! Whenever I get a pimple, I apply a mixture of sulphur based spot treatment with vaseline,' says Dr Kiran Sethi.

DONE WITH THAT DULLNESS

To boost hydration and overcome dullness, sheet masks may also be utilised. They help reduce blemishes, clogged pores, pimples and dull skin within 15 minutes of use. Just apply the mask on your face, relax, and let it do it's work. There is no need to wipe off the leftover liquid, just massage it till it is absorbed in your skin.

POWDER PUFF GIRL

'Pressed powder can brighten up your face when you’re travelling', states Dr Simal Soin. It covers blemishes, evens out your skin tone and even absorbs excess oil from your skin! It’s a quick fix for oily and tired looking skin, although regular use is not recommended.

These days going minimalist and travelling light is a necessity and a choice even. However, that doesn't mean that you get to ignore your skincare needs and have to skimp on those important skincare products. You can buy those cute travel bottles or recycle small bottles and cases to carry a cleanser, moisturiser and toner for your on-the-go days.
