5 Makeup Tricks to Make Your Lips Look Plumper

While you won’t get a pout like Kareena Kapoor Khan or Katrina Kaif overnight, you can definitely plump up your pucker volume with the right makeup. We asked makeup artist Aanshul Rawal, founder of Glamm Me to share some simple tricks and tips that will make lips fuller. To start with always keep yourself hydrated to avoid chapped lips. Keep a lip balm handy. "it's also essential to exfoliate your lips regularly to get rid of the dead skin and keep them looking smooth and healthy," says Aanshul.

1. Use both gloss and concealer

Apply lipstick as usual. “Then apply gloss over it and then contour the lips using concealer,” says Aanshul. This is the best trick ever.

3. Accentuate the corners

Apply lipstick as usual. Apply black cream lip liner on the sides of the lips and blend it well.

4. Reshape the lips

Use a nude lip liner to draw a line around the perimeter of your mouth just slightly outside your natural line. Smudge any rough edges and fill it in with lipstick, gloss, or both.

4. Use highlighter

After you apply lipstick. Highlight the cupid bow and the centre of the lower lip with a highlighter.

Bonus Tip

"Use a lip plumping balm or gloss that has the capability to increase the lip size naturally like collagen or spearmint. The effect will only be for an hour though," says Aanshul.
Smoother and hydrated lips look plumper as the light reflects off of them. So, make sure to use a lip gloss to keep lips moisturised. "You can use a plumping balm, which helps to increase blood circulation in and around the lips and boost collagen production for a fuller appearance of the lips," adds Aanshul.
